Author Guidelines

CAJMLS welcomes original research articles, review articles, case studies, and short communications in all areas of medicine and life sciences. All submissions undergo rigorous peer review to ensure the highest quality standards.

Manuscript Types

  • Research Articles: Full-length original research (up to 6,000 words)
  • Review Articles: Comprehensive reviews of current topics (up to 8,000 words)
  • Case Studies: Clinical case reports with analysis (up to 3,000 words)
  • Short Communications: Brief reports of significant findings (up to 2,000 words)
  • Clinical Trial Reports: Results from clinical trials (up to 6,000 words)

Manuscript Preparation

Structure

  1. Title: Concise and informative (maximum 200 characters)
  2. Authors: Full names, affiliations, ORCID iDs (recommended)
  3. Abstract: 250-300 words, structured (Background, Methods, Results, Conclusions)
  4. Keywords: 3-6 keywords for indexing
  5. Introduction: Background and objectives
  6. Methods: Detailed methodology
  7. Results: Findings with tables and figures
  8. Discussion: Interpretation and implications
  9. Conclusions: Main findings and future directions
  10. References: Vancouver style (numbered)

Formatting

  • File format: Microsoft Word (.docx) or LaTeX
  • Font: Times New Roman, 12pt
  • Line spacing: Double
  • Margins: 2.5 cm on all sides
  • Page numbers: Bottom center

Figures and Tables

  • High resolution (minimum 300 dpi)
  • Formats: JPEG, PNG, TIFF for images; Excel or CSV for tables
  • Clear captions and legends
  • Referenced in text
  • Maximum 6 figures/tables per manuscript

References

  • Vancouver style (numbered in order of appearance)
  • Minimum 20 references for research articles
  • Include DOI when available
  • Verify all citations

Submission Process

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Prepare Your Manuscript

    Ensure your manuscript follows our author guidelines and is properly formatted.

  2. Submit Online

    Use our online submission system at submit.php

  3. Provide Information
    • Manuscript title and abstract
    • Author details (name, email, affiliation, ORCID)
    • Keywords and manuscript type
    • Cover letter (optional but recommended)
    • Suggested reviewers (optional, 2-3 names)
  4. Upload Files
    • Main manuscript file (DOC, DOCX, or LaTeX)
    • Figures and tables (separate files)
    • Supplementary materials (if any)
  5. Review and Submit

    Review all information and submit. You will receive a tracking ID.

📧 Confirmation: You will receive an email confirmation with your tracking ID immediately after submission. Use this ID to track your manuscript status.

Timeline

  • Initial Review: 3-5 business days
  • Peer Review: 4-6 weeks
  • Revision (if required): 2-4 weeks for authors to revise
  • Final Decision: 1-2 weeks after revision
  • Publication: 2-3 weeks after acceptance

Peer Review Policy

CAJMLS employs a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality and integrity of published research.

Review Process

  1. Initial Screening: Editor reviews manuscript for scope and quality
  2. Reviewer Assignment: 2-3 expert reviewers are invited
  3. Peer Review: Reviewers evaluate the manuscript (3-4 weeks)
  4. Decision: Accept, Minor Revision, Major Revision, or Reject
  5. Revision (if needed): Authors revise based on feedback
  6. Re-review: Reviewers assess revisions
  7. Final Decision: Accept or Reject

🔒 Confidentiality: All submissions are treated confidentially. Reviewers and editors maintain strict confidentiality throughout the process.

Publication Ethics

CAJMLS adheres to the highest standards of publication ethics as outlined by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Author Responsibilities

  • Originality: Manuscripts must be original and not under consideration elsewhere
  • Authorship: All listed authors must have made significant contributions
  • Data Integrity: Data must be accurate and verifiable
  • Plagiarism: All work must be properly cited; plagiarism is not tolerated
  • Conflicts of Interest: Must be declared
  • Human/Animal Studies: Must have appropriate ethical approval

Ethical Approval

Studies involving human participants or animals must have approval from an appropriate ethics committee. Include the approval number in the Methods section.

Competing Interests

All authors must declare any financial or personal relationships that could be viewed as competing interests. If none exist, state "The authors declare no competing interests."

⚠️ Plagiarism Check: All submissions are screened for plagiarism using specialized software. Manuscripts with significant plagiarism will be rejected.

Open Access Policy

CAJMLS is a fully open access journal. All articles are freely available to read, download, and share immediately upon publication.

Currently, CAJMLS does not charge article processing fees. All submissions and publications are free of charge during our launch period.
